Disneyland is Your Land…

Nothing is more timeless than the charm and whimsy of Disney Parks.  It all started on a park bench, where Walt Disney watched his children ride a carousel.  He dreamed of creating an amusement park where adults, along with children, could suspend their disbelief and travel into new worlds of Wonder. Our hope is for our guests to feel like they are entering Main Street USA and about to experience the nostalgia and magic of a Disney park. We have visited Walt Disney World and Disneyland almost ten times in the six years that we’ve been dating!  Celebrating our love wouldn’t feel complete without honoring our second home.

Date Night at Disneyland

Walt and Lillian Disney used to take romantic strolls around Disneyland in its early days.  In the 50s and 60s, Saturday nights were marketed as “Date Nite at Disneyland.” From five ’til midnight, sweethearts could dance the night away in the magic kingdom while big bands performed.  We take our wedding inspiration from these romantic evenings during the early days of the park.  Bring your sweetheart and dance at our very own date night.

“Why do we have to grow up? I know more adults who have the children’s approach to life.  They’re people who don’t give a hang what the Joneses do.  You see them at Disneyland every time you go there.”

– Walt Disney

Be My Baby

When Disneyland opened on July 17th 1955: pastels, big hair, cat eye glasses and full skirts were all the rage!  People came from far and wide in their Sunday best to walk and play in the five famous lands of adventure, nostalgia and fantasy.  We always try to honor this tradition by dressing our best when visiting the Disney parks. It would be magical if our guests could help us transport to the 1950s by also dressing in their vintage Sunday best.

Think Pink & Color Me Yellow

For those that know us, it’s no surprise that our big day will be a colorful splash of pink and yellow.  Yellow is both of our favorite colors!  When we met in 2010, our first date consisted of lunch at a JMU dining hall in matching yellow sweaters.  It was the initial thing we bonded over – our love of the sunshine color!   And what pairs best with yellow?  PINK!  Which happens to also be one of our favorite colors!

We are so happy to celebrate in our favorite color combination and we hope you will be too!
